In order to record CDG karaoke discs to any storage device (hard drive, memory stick, iPod, MP3 player, etc.) your computer must be equipped with a CD ROM or DVD drive that supports the CDG format.  Most home computers do not have the capability to read the graphics portion of a CDG disc.  If your computer's CD ROM or DVD drive does not support the CDG format, the music will record to your storage device but the words on screen will not.  CDG compatible drives are available here at ABCD's Karaoke Supply.
